Maneka Gandhi is a leading female politician in india. Being part of the Gandhi family, Maneka is a leading activist for women's full representation in politics and governmment in her country. Dr Brigalia Bam (Confirmed)
Brigalia Bam was born in 1933 in the former Transkei, in the Eastern Cape. Although Bam trained and worked as a teacher, she received further training in South Africa and abroad in the fields of social work, communication and management. She is a qualified social worker with a post-graduate degree from the University of Chicago.
Bam has held various posts throughout the world. She was the Africa Regional Secretary and Co-ordinator of the Women's Workers' Programme for the International Food and Allied Workers Association based in Geneva. She has co-ordinated the World Young Men's Christian Association's International Training Institute and Programme, as well as its affiliate, the Development for Human Rights. She was also Executive Programme Secretary for the Women's Department of the World Council of Churches. Between 1997 and 1998, Bam served as General Secretary of the South African Council of Churches from 1994 to 1999.
In South Africa, she was a founding member of the Women's Development Foundation and became the Foundation's President in 1998. She has been a board member of the Matla Trust as well as the South African Broadcasting Corporation. Since 1999, Brigalia Bam has become a familiar personality to South Africans as the Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa, contributing her accumulated experience to the well-managed electoral process. In this capacity she is renowned for her steely leadership and wise counsel.

Dora Akunyili
Dora Nkem Akunyili is the Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of Nigeria. She is a pharmacist, professor and governmental administrator who has gained international recognition and won hundreds of awards for her work in pharmacology, public health and human rights. Since Akunyili took over leadership of NAFDAC, she has established as a top priority the eradication of counterfeit drugs and unsafe food. Before Akunyili assumed duty, Nigeria became a place where fake and substandard foods and drugs were being dumped without any form of regulations. Although Akunyili has faced considerable risk to her personal safety in order to combat the issue of fake drugs, she has continued to persistently fight fake drugs and promote a healthy Nigeria. This has earned the respect and prestige she enjoys globally.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (born June 13, 1954) is the former Finance Minister and Foreign Minister of Nigeria, notable for being the first woman to hold either of those positions. She served as finance minister from July 2003 until her appointment as foreign minister in June 2006, and as foreign minister until her resignation in August 2006. Okonjo-Iweala was considered as a possible replacement for former World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz and is currently serving as Managing Director of the World Bank.
Amina Ibrahim
Ms. Amina J. Ibrahim is the National Coordinator for Education for All (EFA) at the Federal Ministry of Education in Nigeria. In this capacity Ms. Ibrahim coordinates the development of a fully participatory National Action Plan, which includes cross-cutting areas such as HIV/AIDS and macroeconomic strategies as proposed in the World Bank Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSP). A particular focus of her work lies on the development of strategies to empower community participation at government level. Previously, Ms. Ibrahim was a founding member and moderator of the facilitating committee at the Civil Society Action Coalition on EFA (CSACEFA), a national coalition of 124 Civil Society organizations working on education in Nigeria. At CSACEFA she was responsible for capacity building of member organization and engagement with the government, international development
partners, and the private sector. Ms. Ibrahim participated in the setting up of Ancefa, the regional representation of civil society organizations in Africa. Prior to that Ms. Ibrahim was founding partner and executive director of the Afri-Projects Consortium, an engineering firm providing multi-disciplinary consultancy services that cover all phases of development programmes in key sectors, such as education, agriculture, water, and health.
